Decorating the Tree

I am way behind in blogging, AGAIN, so I will attempt to catch up, AGAIN!!!

Here we are at Christmas time, and for the first time Noah got to help decorate the tree and he loved it. He would dig through the box of ornaments and find some special ones that he wanted to put on. His favorite was his new Buzz Lightyear ornament that would light up when you pushed a button. That ornament had to go in a special place so he could push the button all season long. Hanging ornaments in their special spots.
They all tended to go to one spot. Notice the grouping of candy canes.

Such a big boy. He loved helping decorate for Christmas and loved the Christmas season. He was a little leary of Santa Claus at first. I think it was because a strange man was coming into our house, and this confused him a little. He kept saying that Avery could have all the toys and candy, he didn't want any. Once I explained that Santa was going to come while he was sleeping and not come into his room, he relaxed and started to look forward to his Christmas morning surprises.
Once the tree was decorated we had to stuff our Advent calendar with candy and begin our countdown to Christmas.

Can't do anything without the hat.

And then the next morning we had our visitor from the North Pole, Chip the Elf. He was sent here from Santa to watch over Noah and Avery and make sure they were being good. He flew home every night to report back to Santa and would arrive at our house every morning in a new spot. In the above picture Chip was caught on top of our Advent calendar and he had eaten some of our candy. Chip could be quite mischevious at times.

One morning, we caught him having coffee, and making a mess with the sweetener.

This picture is a little out of order, but explains why Avery is not in any of the above pictures. She napped while we decorated the tree because she, like Chip, is quite mischevious at this age, as the picture well describes.
