10 month pics.

On Thursday I took Noah to get his picture taken. We went for 10 month pictures since we haven't been since he was 3 months old. I can't believe he is already 10 months old and will be a year in less than 2 months.

Happy Birthday, Nanny!

Today is Noah's Nanny's birthday. Since we couldn't see her today we wanted to wish her a very Happy Birthday. All I can say about this post is, I tried, and We Love You!!!

Hold this? No way, I've got places to go.
Ok, see I am holding it.

Ok I did it, not my fault the picture is blurry.

Like this?

Good Mommy, just set it there and I can play.

Enough already!!!

By the time it dawned on me, that is was Matt's birthday too, Noah was finished with this game. We Love You too, Mr. Matt!!!

Kisses

Our newest and sweetet trick is giving kisses. He is stingy when giving them to people but will kiss his toys anytime he is prompted. Just the other day, Eric was holding Noah and I asked Noah for a kiss and he pushed me away. I kissed Eric instead and then tried again with Noah and got the same response. We repeated this about 4 times before he decided he wanted to be like his daddy and give me kisses. Well as you can see below, Pooh Bear is lucky. He gets them all the time and doesn't even have to work for them.

This little man is always on the go. He is always finding something to get into, and play with. If he is not climbing on, over or into something, he is on the move to his next destination which will be something else to climb on. This video is just a quick video of his army crawl. We are getting closer to real "crawling" but I don't know if it is going to happen because he is pretty quick with this move here.

Pulling Up

One of Noah's favorite things to do now, is scoot on over to you if you are sitting on the floor with him and climb all over you like a monkey. He has been doing this for a while now, but very recently just started pulling up on other things. He can pull up to his knees now very quicky, but has a harder time getting to his feet. Today though he crawled right up to the lazy boy and pulled right up. It was a slow process though which is how I was able to catch it on camara.

Step 1: Grab the chair

Step 2: Pull to my knees

Step 3: Come to my feet

Step 4: Bring my feet in closer to the chair

Step 5: Let Mommy take my pic
Step 6: Figure out how to get down. Usually I just plop on my booty.

In the Basket

At playgroup the other day, Mrs. Tammy asked if any other kids liked to climb in things such as baskets. Everyone looked up and Robin was sitting in a basket. We all laughed. Well I really found it funny when we got home that night and Noah pulled up on the laundry basket and started to climb in it. We caught a bit of it on camara, but notice how when he fusses so I pull him out but he doesn't want out, because he keeps wiggling his way back in.

Sitting Himself Up

As of yesterday, Noah can now officially sit himself up from a crawling position. I have been waiting for this milestone more than any other and he already seems happier now that he can do it. AND, I actually caught it on video.

What a ham...

Noah has taken to biting down on the spoon after we feed him. We then crack up laughing at him and he will then spit it out and laugh at himself. What a goof he can be!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy

August 6th was Eric's 35th birthday. Gammy and Poppy came in town and we went out to dinner to celebrate. Noah even got to stay up late and watch his Daddy open his presents and blow out his candles. It was a fun evening. Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!

Daddy is how old? GOSH!!!

Today I was looking at Molly Kate's blog and her Daddy, Jeremy, had made a video of her from 3 months until the present. I loved it and decided to give it a try with Noah's pics and videos. I found the software on our computer and started playing around. The movie is a little rough, but I learned alot by playing around today, so hopefully the next one I make will be a a little smoother. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Book worm

No matter how fussy Noah is, his books calm him right down. Here, Daddy is taking a chance to bond with Noah and read him some of his books.

Work

Although I have enjoyed my time off in the past year, and have enjoyed spending time with Noah, I have missed teaching. I have wished a few times that there was a way for me to be both a teacher and a stay at home mom. Well I have decided to go back to SJV for one class period a day. I am going to be the Algebra teacher and I am so excited. I get the best of both worlds. I get to do both things that I love. Teach and be Noah's Mommy. I will be done at 10:00 everyday and will have the rest of the day to stay with my little man. He is going to be staying with an SJV parent who runs a daycare out of her house. He will be there with about 6 other kids who are close to his age. While I think it will be an adjustment for him, I think it will be good for him to get some socialization. I think it will be good for me too, because I was finding myself getting lonely being at home without any other adult conversation. I am excited and hope it all works out.

Happy Birthday, Uncle J

Tomorrow is Uncle J's 28th birthday and we celebrated yesterday at Grama's house. She made spaghetti, rolls and Uncle J's favorite cookies. It was delicious and everyone was stuffed when dinner was over including Noah. Happy Birthday Uncle Jeremy, WE LOVE YOU!!!

Uncle J and Ms. Kristin

Mommy leave me alone.

Like I care if its your birthday. You are still WRONG!!!

Mmmm, Grama. Yummy spaghetti!!!

He wanted cereal cookies instead of cake. There were 28 cookies and candles and he blew them all out in one puff. Whew!!!

Noah and PawPaw going for a walk.

I love it up here PawPaw.

Hee, hee, Uncle J is old now, but I love him anyway.

Obstacles

As I stated in an earlier post, Noah loves to move around. I keep saying that I need to make him an obstacle course, because he loves to climb over things, like kitchen chairs and Raleigh's bed. He is also trying real hard to pull himself up all the way. He can get to his knees, but can't make it to his feet unless he is climbing up one of us.

Whenever he crawls out of the living room, I find him under the kitchen table climbing over the chairs.
Made it to his knees.

Walker

Noah's good friend Braedon is walking now, so he gave us his walker to use and he absolutely loves it. We have only had it about 3 days and have used it about an hour each day. He just goes up and down the driveway and smiles the whole time. Eric and I spend a lot of time putting him back on track because he can't stear very well yet. Thanks Ms. Amanda and Braedon for this lifesaver.

9 months

Playing in Grama's tupperware cabinet.

Hey Grama, I can help you make something.

Pulling up on someone's legs. He wants to stand so bad.

Our little man was nine months old on the 21st of July. Only 3 months until his first birthday party. It is still hard to believe how fast time goes. We went to see Dr. Gullino last week and she said he looked perfect. He was 20 lb 14 oz which is in the 50th percentile. He was 29 1/4 inches long which is in the 75th percentile and his head is still in the 95th percentile which is 18 3/4 inches long.

He is moving all over the place with his army crawl. He is close to getting up on all fours and taking off. He tries to pull up on everything but doesn't really have the strength yet. This frustrates him, which in turn frustrates me. He wants to walk so bad, but isn't quite there yet. He is eating "big people" food most of the time, and we still haven't tried anything yet that he doesn't like. I can't really even say what his favorite food is because he liks it all.I am very happy about this, but am worried that it won't last.
Of course he is still precious, but is getting more and more challenging everyday. We think he gets frustrated and bored when he is at home. He likes to be on the go, and is always good in public, but gets cranky whenever we are home for an extended period of time. That can be exhausting for both of us so we try to go as much as possible. However frustrating he can be, he still is wonderful and sweet and we love him as much as humanly possible.
