VICTORY!!!!

Sign seen in Omaha "LSU FANS LOVE OYSTERS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS BY THE 1/2 DOZEN". The LSU baseball team won their 6th championship last night and we are extra proud to be Tigers today. After blowing through the college world series, we got to the championship round against the Texas Longhorns where it is a best of 3 series. Monday night we pulled out a win in extra innings. Tuesday night we just couldn't get it done and ended up losing. But Wednesday night we got ourselves fired up early and won 11-4.

Noah stayed up for the first two innings and then had to go to sleep, but Eric and I watched for him and cheered the team on. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

Today I...

...scooted across the rug to my mommy for the first time. Watch out world I'm mobile now.

After trying for so long and getting so frustrated that he couldn't move, Noah can now scoot. My life just got much harder I am afraid. Just now, I heard Raleigh let out a little whine and I got up to check and Noah had made his way over to him and was playing with his feet. Poor dog thought he had it tough before. While Noah isn't very quick yet, I am sure it is coming.

Today I..

Started on third foods because they were out of many second foods at the store. I also got one more tooth popping through. My middle right one is barely out and the left one is really close.

Swim Lessons

Eric and I decided that since we are around water so often we definitely don't want Noah to be afraid of the water so we signed him up for water baby swim lessons. It swimming lessons for both him and I together. He is a little young for some of the activities of the class but he loves being in the water. His teacher, Ms. Bridget, is a young college student and she is real sweet and Noah seems to like her. Today I was talking to her in the pool and he leaned over and reached for her.

We are going to class all this week and next week. Each class we do some basic activities like sitting them on the wall and telling them to wait, or carrying them under our arms so the babies can learn to kick. These are the things that he is a little young for, but he does them all well anyway. Yesterday we started blowing in the babies faces, which forces them to hold their breath and then we dunk them. I thought he would come up screaming, but he didn't. He just comes up with wide eyes and catches his breath. He even laughed a couple of times. He is doing very well and we are both having alot of fun.

Here we are front towing, which is supposed to teach him to kick his legs.

Molly Kate and Ms. Katie are taking the class with us. It is fun to watch both kids in the pool.

Holding him on his back so he will kick.

Passing Noah to Ms. Bridget. He is cute when he does this and paddles his arms.

Baby Sam

On June 5, my best friend Jennnifer had her second child. Baby Sam entered the world and what a precious little guy he is. I went over to visit them last weekend, and left Noah and Eric with Gammy and Poppy for the weekend. Thanks Gammy and Poppy for taking such good care of my guys while I was gone.

Sam is a sweet little thing and is so tiny. It is hard for me to believe that Noah was once that little, but I know he was and it wasn't that long ago. Big sister Anna is trying her hardest to be a great big sister, and will show Sam some attention and interest, but as can be expected she is going through a little adjustment. She is such a sweet, funny little thing and is getting so big herself.

Jennifer and Matt had to go to a Dr appointment and Anna went swimming with Aunt Jessie so Sam and I had some bonding time. He slept and I reminisced about when my own baby was so tiny.

Crazy Sleeper

Since Noah is now a master roller and can spin in a circle really well, he decided he wants to do this when he should be sleeping. I will lay him down on his back and he will roll to his stomach and then spin in his bed and put himself in the most uncomfortable position. He now likes to lay sideways in his bed. You can't really tell, but his butt is up in the air and his feet are all the way against the bumper pads. I don't know why he likes this position but it seems to be his new favorite.

Jody's Wedding

Saturday night, my cousin Jody got married to her now husband Jonathan. Congratulations to both of them. Noah came with Eric and I. We were a little concerned because the wedding didn't start until 7:00 and this is normally the time he goes to bed. He did GREAT. He made it through the very short wedding with no problems and then at the reception had a bottle and mingled with his family. We put him in his PJ's right before we left to come home and he fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up when we put him in his bed.

Noah and I did a little dancing before we left to come home.

Today I...

Today I rolled myself over in my bed and slept for 2 hours on my tummy. Mommy was sure that I was going to wake up fast and wake up cranky but I didn't. When I woke up, I turned my aquarium on all by myself and just watched it until Mommy came and got me. I just discovered the aquarium and the big orange button that turns it on so I was occupied and happy.

7 months old

I am a little late in posting this, but our little man is now 7 month old. He actually turned 7 months on the 21st. He is still precious, still sweet and still the love of my life. He is getting close to crawling as he uses his arms to turn himself in circles and can scoot backwards very well. He still just has two teeth but the top two are almost there, I can see them coming down. He still eats well and will not miss a meal. He still sleeps well at night and most naps. He smiles and laughs at us all the time, but will look at new people and things with a very serious expression. I think he has to take it all in and study everything before he will give out that killer smile. He is starting to notice more and more people and things and is definitely becoming more curious everyday. I think he notices Raleigh most of all, and will look around the room when asked where his Puppy is. I just love him so much and enjoy each and every day with him. Here are some pics that Jeremy Skupien took of him on Memorial Day.

I love this smile.

Here is that curiosity.

Here is the serious face, just taking it all in.
