Christmas at Gammy and Poppy's

The day after Christmas we made out way to Lake Charles for Roan family Christmas. We spent the weekend with Gammy and Poppy and the Duffy's. It is always fun to spend time with the cousins and Noah always enjoys playing with Klaire and Karoline. He seems to notice them more and more all the time and was actually following them around. I can't wait to see how they get along the older Noah gets.

This was our last Christmas stop and it was a lot of fun and many good memories were made. Unfortunately I took most of my pictures with Gammy's camara so the pics you see are the only ones I got with my camara.

Klaire showing Noah how to open his presents properly.

Karoline showing off her goods.

He had a blast. He was starting to get tired before we opened gifts, but once we got started he just perked up. He fed off the energy of the little girls and just started crawling all over, laughing and playing with everyone.

Christmas at Grama's and PawPaw's house.

After we opened presents at our house, we went to Grama and PawPaw's to open presents with them and Uncle J. Noah once again had a blast opening presents and playing with his new treasures.

That, I want that!!!

Hmm, I wonder what this is?

This big box is from Uncle J. Hmmm, what could it be?

Ok!!! I'm ready. Open it.

Oh cool, its a Spidey couch.

Noah had the best time, climbing on it, and then sliding off, laughing and doing the whole thing over again.

On, off, on, off.....

Christmas Morning

Santa made a stop Christmas Eve and brought our little man some treasures. We got up early Christmas morning to open our gifts and play with our new stuff. Noah loved his Cozy Coupe and enjoyed being pushed around in it. He also liked his Elmo-in-the-Box and the books. He must have been very good this year, because Santa was very good to him.

Extended Family Christmases - 2009

This Christmas season, we had many different Christmas celebrations. We did Christmas Eve at my cousin Anthony's with the Marino's. We did Mercil Christmas a couple weeks before Christmas at my cousin Nicky's house. We had fun at both events because there are kids really close to Noah's age in both families. Anthony has three boys, two of which are ten days older than Noah and his brother Paul has a daughter who is a year younger than them. My Mercil family has lots of kids, but two of the boys that are all within a month of Noah. It was fun to watch them watch each other and interact. I know in the coming years they will have lots of fun at these gathering together.

This is Christmas Eve, and the only picture I got of Noah in his Christmas outfit.

Kristin's Christmas

On the Sunday before Christmas we went to Grama and PawPaw's house to have Christmas with Kristin, since we wasn't going to be able to be with us on Christmas Day.
Grama made lasagna and we opened our gifts from Kristin. The best gift and biggest surpise was when she and Jeremy announced that they were getting married. Yippeeee!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am that she will be in the family.

Firetruck Santa - 2009

If you go back and look at my posts from a year ago, you will see the same situation as what happened this year. Santa came by on his firetruck again, and we just HAD to go see it. It is a tradition for me to see him every year and I don't want Noah to miss it. Therefore, I had to wake him up from a nap as soon as I heard the sirens getting closer. We ran down to the end of the street to see Santa drive by on his firetruck. Last year, I pulled him out of his swing while it was still swinging because we had to act fast or miss Santa. As you can see, I love Santa on the firetruck as much as any little kid.

Ho ho ho!!!
Waiting patiently for Santa to come

Christmas Lights

After Gammy and Poppy left Noah took a little nap then we loaded him up in the car and drove down to New Orleans to look at the Christmas lights. City Park in New Orleans decorates every year and lots of people go down there just to see the spectacle. I thought it would a nice tradition for our little family to start. We could ride down there, take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season and enjoy some sights and some time together. We had a nice time and it helped put me in the Christmas spirit and enjoy the Christmas week.

We stopped at Burger King on the way out of town, so King Noah could reign for a bit.

Gammy and Poppy Visit

I know, I know. It has been a long time since I have uploaded this blog. I am sorry, especially with so many of you out there waiting for Christmas pictures. Don't worry I have plenty to do, so continue to be patient with me, I will eventually get to them all.

Sometime in mid-December Gammy and Poppy came into town for a visit. We had lunch at Sammy's with Kayleigh and a date, then we came back to the house for a quick visit. It was a nice afternoon and Noah enjoyed playing with his Gammy and Poppy for the afternoon.

Poppy had been giving Noah some water out of his cup which is why his shirt is all wet. You can thank Noah for that one, since he can't drink well out of a cup that is not spill-proof.

Cookies, cookies, cookies....

Last Friday, I went to my second annual cookie exchange with my girlfriends. We all made a batch or two of cookies and then shared them, so I came home with enough cookies to last Eric and I a while. It was hosted by Kim, who cooked tons of food to go with our cookies. So we had a blast eating, laughing and eating some more. It seems like I have been stuffing my face ever since.

Then yesterday, our playgroup buddy Ms. Tammy, hosted another cookie party. All the Mommy's made a batch of cookies and we shared those too. It was a lot of fun and once again delicious. With the holidays being so busy we haven't had playgroup in a while. So it was nice to get together and see all of my mommy friends and for Noah to get out to the house to play with his friends.

I never thought I would say it, but I just may be cookied out...... well maybe after this one.

Noah playing nicely with Robin.

The table of cookies. Yummy!!!
We tried to get the kids together to take a picture. As you can see that didn't turn out so well. Noah had played wonderfully all afternoon but as soon as I set him down in front of the tree he lost it. Not sure what that was all about, but he did get to eat a cookie afterwards which he quite enjoyed.

Funny thing is, his shirt says, I have been super good all year.

Santa Pics

Yesterday we went to the mall to get Noah's picture taken with Santa. He is still to young to know who Santa is, although he knows Santa says HoHoHo. I must say as you can tell from the pictures, he is not impressed with him either. In fact, toward the end of our photo session he looked like he was starting to get a little panicked. This may be our last Santa picture for a while.

After the picture we rode the carousel. Noah loved it. We rode on a tiger that didn't go up and down because he doesn't balance well enough for that yet, but he did love going round and round and would giggle every so often.

Who is this guy? I am not impressed.

He is pretty hairy. Doesn't look so jolly to me.

MOMMMAAAA!!! Come get me. I am about to lose it.

This is much more fun. Weeeeeeeee!!!!
