2 month Dr. visit

Our big guy had his 2 month well baby visit today. Our normal doctor, Dr. Gulino had a baby girl on the 23rd so we got to see her partner Dr. West. We liked her too. She said Noah looked great and told him he was beautiful, which we already knew of course. He weighed 12 pounds 15 oz which makes him still in the 75th percentile. His length is 24 inches, which was in the 90th percentile. Guess he got his Daddy's height which is good. He also had to get two shots today which were not fun, but he did good. He cried really hard, but he cried fast and was fine after a minute. We have to give him some Tylenol tonight because these shots could cause fever, so she said to go ahead and give him Tylenol so he can sleep.

I am 2 feet tall. 3 of me makes one Daddy. Watch out Daddy I will catch you soon.

Shots, what are those. You don't look like I am going to like this.

12 lbs 15oz. I am a big boy, huh guys?

I just had two shots. That lady was quick and tricky and hurt me, but I only cried for a little bit. Next time I am going to be on the lookout for her.

One last Christmas stop, Lake Charles.

Our last Christmas stop was Lake Charles. It was a good time. We got to hang out with Gammy and Poppy. It was also fun because Aunt Krista, Parrain Micha, and cousins Kayleigh, Drew, Klaire and Karoline were there. Noah really took a liking to his cousin Klaire and she him. They spent a lot of time talking and he always lit up when she came near. They might be really close one day. He also got to see MeMa and Aunt Suzi who came over for a wonderful Mexican feast that Gammy made on Friday night. Noah once again made a killing on the gifts. We are going to need a bigger house for all the gifts he received this Christmas.

It was an interesting visit because when we got there Klaire was recovering from a stomach bug and when we left Gammy, Kayleigh and Drew were in the middle of the same stomach bug. Once we got home Eric had it and so far so good for me and Noah.

Hey Poppy, are all these gifts for me.

Karoline, me and Klaire enjoying breakfast.

Klaire this is a cool toy, push that button again and make it light up and play music.
My gift to you, a Christmas smile.

Christmas has worn us out.

Christmas at Grama's and PawPaw's house.

After we opened Santa presents at home, we went over to Grama and PawPaw's to spend Christmas Day over there. We opened gifts and ate steak and potatoes. It was a fun day spent relaxing and enjoying Noah. He of course racked up, getting some new toys, books and clothes. I of course did a terrible job with the camara. I got some good pics of him but didn't really use it enough throughout the day. He spent the day playing on his blanket listening to his new "Baby Beethoven" CD and listening to Grama read him books. We spent the night there that night where Grama and PawPaw kept Noah in their room, where he was supposed to be good and tired from his busy day. Unfortunately he kept them up half the night. Guess they won't be volunteering for that again.

I just had the best time opening presents. Now I am pooped.

I told you I racked up. Look at all this wrapping paper.

What did Santa bring me?

Noah's first Christmas was a lot of fun. He got up a little early (who can blame him) to see what Santa had brought him. Of course he couldn't open up his gifts yet but we had fun opening them and will have fun watching him learn to use the toys and read the books that he got.

Wow, so this is what all the talk has been about! Bring on those gifts.

A new book! Yes! I love this book. Keep reading Daddy, I can't wait to see what happens next.

A car seat toy that makes noise. Wait until I can use these hands, you guys are not going to like this toy.

Santa left Mommy a gift also. It was a Mommy's ring. It has her birthstone and mine on it with a pretty diamond in the middle. You should have seen how surprised Mommy was, she thought Santa was only going to bring me gifts. I guess she was a good girl this year.

Christmas is fun. I can't wait for next year. Then I can open my own gifts and have lots of fun with the wrapping paper and boxes.

Christmas Eve

I Love my Mommy and Daddy

We had a pretty uneventful Christmas Eve this year since our little man had to go to bed at 8:00. Eric, Noah and I went to church at 4:00 mass. When we came back to the house Grama, PawPaw and Uncle J came over and ate some of Eric's delicious gumbo. Noah then went to bed shortly after where he tried his hardest to contain his excitement over Santa coming to see him. He must have been really excited because he woke up alot that night, but he must have slept enough because Santa got in and out without being seen this year.

Extended Family Christmases

Me and Mommy waiting to open our presents.

Uncle J, Ms. Kristen and me. I am being camara shy.

They caught my smile finally, or maybe I am offering them up a little more.

Brodie, me and Collin. I can't wait until we are old enough to play together. We are going to get into so much trouble.

We got together with the Marino family and the Mercil family a couple weekends before Christmas. It was exciting because Noah has cousins really close to his age in both sides of the family. My cousin Matt has a little boy about a month older than Noah and my cousin Lori has a little boy about 2 1/2 weeks older than Noah. Unfortunately I didn't remember to bring my camara to Mercil Christmas so we couldn't get pics of them together. However, on the Marino side, my cousin Anthony has twin boys that are about a week older than Noah. I did get pics of them together. Future playmates in the making.

2 months already

Our little man, Noah, is two months old already. It has been a wonderful two months. He already weighs 13 pounds. He is mostly sleeping through the night, from 8 til 4. Sometimes he wakes up and wants his noonie in his mouth, but once we replug him he goes right back to sleep. He his eating 5 oz every 4 hours and will let you know when that four hours is up. He is such a delight to be around. He is smiling more and more, though still not for the camara. His favorite things to do, are swing in his swing, lie on his blanket and listen to his music, and take a bath. Oh, and I can't forget eat. We are very lucky parents because he hardly every cries except when he is tired and hungry. He is the most precious thing in our lives and we can't remember life without him.

Firetruck Santa

Every year since I was a little girl, Santa Claus comes by on the firetruck the weekend before Christmas, and throws candy to everyone. When I saw them turn down our street, I couldn't let Noah miss this exciting tradition. I yanked him out of his swing so fast, scared him half to death and ran out the door. We made it to see Santa who told Noah to have a very Merry FIRST Christmas.

Future quarterback?

Noah is getting better at holding things in his hand. We have a little football that rattles and has a link attached to it. He seems to like to hold onto this one best. Do we have a future LSU football player on our hands???

Go long, Momma!

Rolling over already, no way?

I don't believe it either. I know that he can roll onto his side, but how did he get onto his tummy already. Babies are supposed to go tummy to back before they go back to tummy. Is he advanced, or is it just a fluke. I don't know, but he did it twice.

He started off playing on his back then Eric and I watched him roll onto his side, then he just kind of fell over onto his tummy. Then he was stuck.

I lay him down on his side facing the other way. When I came in to check on him, he was on his tummy facing this way.

Picking out the Christmas tree

Last Friday, Eric, Kayleigh, Noah and I went and picked out our Christmas tree. As you can see from the picture below Noah was very uninterested. It looks like he was just trying to tell us to leave him the heck alone. Either that or he is giving us precise instructions on how to pick out the perfect tree. When we got home we tried to take a picture of him in front of the decorated tree. We couldn't get the camara to show the lights and him unblurry at the same time. Oh well, we still got some cute shots of him.

Let me explain one more time how it is done.

My three favorite guys, one of which obviously didn't want to pose for a happy family picture.

Ok, I will explain this one last time. Listen carefully.

Oh, you guys will never understand. Deep breath.

Noah wore his hooded outfit so he was our little "Boy in the Hood." Well apparently this makes him like more types of music that just classical. He was getting into the Beastie Boys too. He also had to express his outrage at the fact that he has to "Fight for the Right to Party."

Let it Snow

What a very strange day! When Eric left for work this morning he woke me up and told me it was snowing. It was really coming down, but not sticking to the ground. Well, he called us at 7:30 and told me to look outside. It was still really coming down and it was sticking. It was a beautiful sight that you don't see much in LA. I have seen it snow here before but never as hard as it did today and it has never stuck that much. I think there were about 2 inches in our front yard. Of course, I had to take the baby out there, real quick, for a picture. He has now been through a Louisiana style blizzard and a hurricane. Maybe we have a weather man in the making.
