Easter Weekend

We spent Easter weekend at Toledo Bend with the Roan family. We had a blast with Gammy, Poppy, Aunt Suzi and MeMa. Noah also enjoyed the Duffy clan and as always was enamored with his cousins. This was his first visit to the camp since he became a walker and he was a lot of work. He loves being outside, so he had a wonderful time, but he had to be watched at all times. We spent alot of time having Easter egg hunts, wagon rides, and walking up and down the hill. He got a few bruises and scrapes, but it didn't phase him long. He was a man on the go.

Noah and Poppy on his first of many trips down the hill to the water.

Going straight toward the steps. Noah loves steps so the camp was heaven for him.

Where to go next?

Wagon ride with Karoline or (Kare) as he called her.

First egg. By the end the basket was full. He had the hang of it this time.

Klaire helped him alot with his Easter egg hunting. He still smiles everytime he sees her and she is great with him. He calls her "Kare" too.

Taking a break to eat the candy in the egg.

Not impressed with dying eggs. He just wanted to go back outside.

The Easter bunny brought Noah an Elmo, a tunnel and some more eggs.

Finding the eggs that the Easter bunny left.

You might not be able to tell but that is a smile. He has been grinning at us like that a lot lately. He just walks up to me with that squished up face grin and says MaMa.

All the cousins on Sunday before it was time to say bye.

Noah and Did-eee

Nothing warms my heart more than watching Eric and Noah play together. They enjoy each other so much and they both light up when the other comes into the room. Noah calls him "Didee", which sounds just like Daddy but with a short "i" instead of a "a". As soon as Eric's truck pulls in the driveway in the afternoon, Noah runs to the door saying Didee, Didee. When prompted he will say "Hiiiiiii Didee," which is extremely precious. I am so glad that I was able to give Eric a buddy and I know he can't wait for the day that he can share more and more experiences with Noah.

Noah helped pull weeds for about 3 seconds. Just long enough to catch it in a picture, but he looks really into it doesn't he?

Noah isn't much of a snuggler, unless you are reading him a book. Then he just relaxes on you and enjoys his book.

Easter Egg Hunt

Ms. Natalie and Wyatt hosted an Easter Egg hunt at their house, a week before Easter. I didn't know how Noah would do, or if he would even cooperate, but he actually did great. He went and picked up a few Easter eggs, put them in his basket and it only took a little prodding. After those few eggs he was done and ready to move onto other things. Of course, after he realized there was candy in those eggs, he wanted more.

Moving onto other things.

Sesame Street Live

Noah has developed a recent love for Elmo. He always wants to watch the Elmo videos we have, and read the Sesame Street books we have. So a few Saturday's ago I took him to see Sesame Street Live. We went with Ms. Kim, Luke, Ms. Tonya and Kamryn. Noah absolutely loved it. He sat back on me for the whole 1 1/2 long show, and he was totally entranced. Everyonce in a while he would clap, or start waving at Elmo, who was about 50 yards away. He was fun to watch and I know he will be even more fun in the future as he grasps more and more what is going on.

Totally entranced.

Kim got us tickets to a character "Meet and Greet" before the show. His eyes lit up when Elmo came in the room, but after a few minutes he was totally unimpressed. He wasn't thrilled about getting his picture taken either, but he didn't scream which is a positive.

Anna's birthday

In February, Ms. Kim, Luke, Noah and I made a trip to Houston for Anna Claire's 2nd birthday party. We almost didn't make it out of town that Friday because it snowed that morning and hard. Yes, I said snow, which makes Noah's 3rd snow. Anyway, it didn't snow long, so we mananged to get out of town to party with Anna. It was a good trip. Noah was absolutely perfect in the car on the way there and back. I think he was enamored with Luke being in the back seat with him. He was a big ole cranky pants as the party, but I think he was exhausted and out of his element. It made Mommy miss Daddy and his help and really appreciate Daddy. All in all it was a good trip, and we had fun.

Nanny had a ball pit. Her house is AWESOME.

Birthday girl about to blow out her candles.

Anna loved her jump jump...

... Noah not so much. Thanks for trying Mr. Matt

3 future trouble makers.

Noah was very excited by the ball pit, Sam must have thought he was nuts.

Cuties. Of course I couldn't get them both looking at me at the same time.

Noah and Ral-Ral

Raleigh still isn't a huge fan of Noah, but Noah loves his puppy. First thing he says in the morning when we walk out of his room. He can now even Say "Hiiiii, Ral Ral." Raleigh is getting old and set in his ways so I don't expect any attitude changes out of him anytime soon, but I still like when I can catch them together in a good pic.

Did you say COOKIE???

This about sums if up. Look how happy Noah is, and how bored Raleigh looks with the whole situation.

I Love My Hat

Since it has been a colder than expected winter, Noah has been wearing his hat more than usual. Once it is on his head, he doesn't really like to take it off. As you can, he wears it while playing, and while reading with Ba-ba. What can we say the kids, likes headwear.

Reading with Ba-ba on my couch.

No, I am not leatting it go. Just try and take it.

Look at Me Go

Yesterday, Noah was cruising around on the furniture and pushing around his toys. Today, he surprised us by letting go and walking toward us. We didn't catch those very first steps on video and thought he would not do it again for us to catch on video. However, he surpised us again by standing up on his own and walking all over. He had the best time, standing up, and taking a few steps. He was very proud of himself because he just kept laughing at himself.

I can't believe it. Yesterday, the Saints won the Superbowl and today Noah is a toddler. What's next?

Calling in the Ducks

Eric is going duck hunting this weekend so earlier this week he started pulling out all of his gear. He found his duck calls and was showing Noah how it was done. Not bad, for a first timer.
