Santa Pics

Yesterday we went to the mall to get Noah's picture taken with Santa. He is still to young to know who Santa is, although he knows Santa says HoHoHo. I must say as you can tell from the pictures, he is not impressed with him either. In fact, toward the end of our photo session he looked like he was starting to get a little panicked. This may be our last Santa picture for a while.

After the picture we rode the carousel. Noah loved it. We rode on a tiger that didn't go up and down because he doesn't balance well enough for that yet, but he did love going round and round and would giggle every so often.

Who is this guy? I am not impressed.

He is pretty hairy. Doesn't look so jolly to me.

MOMMMAAAA!!! Come get me. I am about to lose it.

This is much more fun. Weeeeeeeee!!!!

More video

I caught some more of Noah on video and thought I would share. They are just short little clips. One is of him saying cracker, which he just picked up yesterday. I think he says it pretty good for not saying it at all two days ago. The other is him giving me "sweet eyes". He really just blinks at me, but it is still sweet.

Sweet eyes from a sweet boy.

Cracker, cracker.

Updates

Noah is now 13 months old and he just gets sweeter and sweeter all the time. He makes us smile, laugh and fills our hearts with such joy. We are cherishing every moment with him right now because he is always such a happy little guy..

* He now has 9 teeth. His molars just came in this week and you wouldn't have known it. His appetite has been a little less, but his mood has still been great.

*He eats just about everything. The only food we have found he doesn't care for is mashed potatoes. He will eat just about everything else you put on his tray as long as he is hungry. Once he is done, you know it because he starts throwing the food on the ground.

*He loves his Daddy. He will get so excited when Eric walks in the door at night. He will crawl right up to him and give him the biggest hug.

*He is so sweet right now. He freely gives kisses and big hugs. I cherish each and every one of these.

*He still loves his books best. At the end of every day the books from basket are all over the room.

*He likes puzzle toys, like his stacking rings, and nesting boxes. I think he may have gotten some of me and Eric's analytical skills.

*He is a creature of habit and loves to be a helper. For example every morning after he gets his diaper changed, he has to close his closet door and then turn out the closet light and the room light. Every night after his bath we put on his PJ's on our bed. He has to be the one to carry the basket of lotion and diaper rash cream to the bed. He also has to be the one to put it back in the bathroom. If you try to carry it in there, he will reach for it and cry until you give it to him. He also has to be the one to put his milk back in the refrigerator and close the door after his meals.

*He is still not walking but he is getting a little closer. He can push his "push toys" around the house and outside. He still leans on them a little but not as much as he used to. He also walks along the furniture, but very slowly and with two hands still. We are not rushing this, because he is mobile enough as it is and gets into everything already.

*He is getting more vocal. He says, mama, dada, ral, papa (for PawPaw and Poppy), water, ball, ear and other things. He is babbling more and more too.

Here is a video of his "tricks" as we call them. I couldn't believe how well he was cooperating today.

** If you listen closely he does say "woof" for dog. Also I would like to note that he knows his Grama and Gammy love him very much also but he can't say those yet. We are working on it.

Thanksgiving

Wednesday before Thanksgiving we went to Toledo Bend to spend Thanksgiving with the Roans. Gammy, Poppy, MeMa and Aunt Suzi were all waiting for us when we pulled up and the Duffy crew got there later that night. While this wasn't Noah's first Thanksgiving it was the first one that he could eat the food and he loved it, especially the pumpkin pie. He was probably as stuffed as the rest of us after his Thanksgiving meal.

We have so much to be Thankful for this year and were glad to spend this holiday with family. Noah especially enjoyed hanging out with his cousins who he doesn't get to see nearly enough. I know they are all going to be great friends when they get older.

My little man made me so proud this weekend because he was in such a good mood, and loved being with all of his family. He would reach for whoever would walk up to him, even some of the family that he doesn't see very often. He has such a way of making people feel special and he is only one year old. I can only pray this is a trait that he keeps.

Karoline, Baby Noah and Klaire. Karoline kept calling him Baby Noah and it was too cute.

Future trouble?

Poppy had raked a pile of leaves just for the kids to play in. Noah wasn't so sure, but watch out Poppy because next year this pile we be history once he gets in it.

Over the Edge

Noah and I went to LSU the other day to watch my crazy friend Shelly repel down Tiger Stadium for charity. Since she raised $1200 for Special Olympics she got to engage in this crazy feat. It was fun to watch her be brave and afterward we got to go into the stadium which was empty. This was officially Noah's first time in Tiger Stadium and of course he loved it.

GEAUX TIGERS!!! Next time he will be cheering our boys onto a victory.

It Still Fits

Recently I completed a chore that was way past due. I cleaned out Noah's closet and let me tell you, this baby had some clothes. We filled up two 35 gallon rubbermaid containers full of clothes and other baby accessories. It was a very bittersweet task to put all those things in the attic.

I ran across a hat that Noah wore last winter. Since I didn't have any hats for him and it had been getting cold, I decided to keep it out just in case it were to still fit. Well, to my surprise it still kind of did. I had to take the cuff out, but it worked until I got him a new hat. Below is a picture from last year at this time. It is one of my favorite pictures of him. There is also a picture of him from now wearing the same hat. He has changed so much, but is still my sweet little guy with the same big blue eyes that melt your heart.

Thanks Nanny for Hours of Fun.

Noah's Nanny gave him this step stool for his birthday with his name carved out of it. It was a wonderful gift and he absolutely loves it. Whenever his bedroom door is open and I can't find him, he is in his room playing with this step stool. Thanks, Nanny for this one of a kind gift that has given us lots of fun already.

Just because...

Happy Birthday Luke.

Last Sunday was Noah's friend Luke's birthday party at a jump-jump place. Noah wasn't too impressed with the inflatables, but the hula hoops were great. He played good, then we ate some pizza and cake. It was a fun afternoon. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the birthday boy because he was having too much fun. Oh well. Thanks to Ms. Kim and Luke for inviting us.

Umm, get me out of here.

If the picture were a little clearer you could see the death grip he had on my shirt. Oh well, next year we won't be able to get him out of that thing.

Our Little Monkey

After tailgating we tried to give Noah a nap but since he slept for about 3 minutes in the car on the way home he wanted no part of a nap. We weren't sure what kind of a night we were in for, but again he was perfect. If you stick Noah outside and in his wagon he can't get any happier. So we took his wagon, our candy and our Monkey and met some friends at Ms. Katie's house for Trick-or-Treat. We ate pizza, ate candy, ate cookies, and ate and ate. Then we all loaded up the wagons and went to collect some more goodies.

The wagon brigade.

LSU vs Tulane

On Halloween morning, we decided to take Noah to campus for some tailgating since it was such a beautiful day. We got there about 10:00 and stayed until about 2, and our little Tiger couldn't have been more perfect or had more fun. We took his wagon, a blanket and a few toys and headed out there to meet up with our usual tailgating gang. He played on the blanket for a while and we took a wagon ride to see Mike. It was a great day.

All smiles. Being outside is his favorite.

Noah discovered candy, since it was Halloween and couldn't get enough of this sucker.

Oh my gosh, this is soooo good.

This is the only Mike we got to see, because the real one was getting ready for the game.
Why Mike, what big teeth you have?

What a busy day? I am beat.

Birthday Boy

One year ago, I was introduced to the love of my life. Noah Tate is one today and just like I knew it would time has flown by. He is such a fun little guy right now and makes every day fun. He is discovering and exploring new things everyday, and his curiosity at the world just amazes us. He doesn't seem anywhere close to walking yet, but he is always on the move. He is learning new words all the time, still eating good, still sleeping good and making me love him more and more all the time.

Unfortunately, Noah isn't feeling to well on his birthday. I think he just has a cold, but we thought he might have the flu for a while there because his fever got a little high. When his fever was up, he was my snuggly little guy again. When his fever was down he wanted no part of me cuddling with him; he had things to do.

We did manage to go to Walmart to get him a new movie (which he didn't like, he only like 1 Baby Einstein) and a birthday baloon. We also went outside for a short wagon ride so he could enjoy his birthday a little bit.

Since it was his birthday and he didn't feel good, he got to have his Noony outside of the bed.
