These pictures are a little out of order because they came from a few camaras. Also, you might notice people looking in different directions in the pictures, that is because 4 camaras were going off at once.

Avery's Baptism
Last Saturday afternoon Avery Ann was welcomed into the Christian community. She was Baptized at St. Jean Vianney at 4:00 mass by Fr. Tom Ranzino. It was a nice ceremony and she was great during it.

Helping Daddy
Just like my Big Brother
We have taken a lot of pictures of Noah over the last two years and some of them stick out in my mind more than others. This is one of them. When I gave Avery this same ball and she brought it straight to her mouth and tried her hardest to chew on it, I had to laugh. It seems like yesterday that Noah did the exact same thing. I am sure I even had a blog post about it. I guess it just proves that they are so much alike, but will be so different all at the same time.
Bumbo Seat
Since Ms. Thing is such a nosy little one I decided to get her a Bumbo Seat. Well our friend Ms. Kristen had one from her little boy Dylan that she wasn't using anymore so she let me have this one. Aver just loves it. She will sit in it for the longest time, just looking around and being a part things. She now sits on the table at dinner while we eat and gets to be a real part of the family.
3 months
Our little princess is 3 months old today and I just can't believe it. She is a very happy baby and is becoming more and more fun every day. She is a nosy little thing and loves to sit up and look around at what is going on. She will smile at you very easily if you just talk and coo at her. She loves to talk and coo back, and is always making some noise at us. She is sleeping pretty much through the night. We took her noonie away at night when no one was getting any sleep because we were getting up 15 times a night to put it back in her mouth. The first night after we took it away she only woke up twice and that was because she had come unswaddled. She likes to be wrapped tight and can't go to sleep without it. She is eating 4-5oz bottles a day. We bumped her up to 6ozs for a little while, but she spit up so much we bumped her back down. She is still going 4 hours during the day between feedings so I guess she is good with the amount of food. She is sleeping until about 7 or 7:30 most mornings and goes down about 8:00 after she gets a bottle about 7:15ish. We are pretty luck parents in that both of our children have been pretty good sleepers.
We went and got Avery's picture taken this weekend and here is a sample of one of them. Once I get the disk from the photographer I will post more pics. They came out beautiful. She is a beautiful, happy, sweet baby and we are very proud to have her.

Out of the Mouths of Babes
Some funny things have been coming out of Noah's mouth lately and I want to document it all so I don't forget. Here a couple that have happened in the last few days.
Noah was talking and talking and talking while I was changing his diaper.
Me: Noah, you sure talk a lot, do you know that?
Noah: Yeaaahhh
Me: You sure have a big mouth.
Noah: Yep, like an alligator.
Me: (laugh,laugh)
Noah: I have to go tell Daddy, I have a mouth like an alligator
Scene2
Noah is in the bathtub and is feeling around in the back of his mouth. I think two year molars are coming in.
Me: Is there a tooth coming in back there? Does your mouth hurt?
Noah: Yeah, I need some booty cream for my mouth.
(Booty cream is what we call Desitin which he obviously gets when he has a red bottom.)

A Few Days in the Life
We haven't really been doing a whole lot lately. Just enjoying the calm after the rush of the holidays. That doesn't mean that my kids haven't been busy being cutie pies. Here are just a few pics of both of them in our day to day lives. Enjoy!!!
Noah found a chip clip in the cabinet and told us he was going to clean the shower. I think he thought it was a squeegie, since ours in our shower is yellow and kind of looks like that. Pretty smart, I think.

One Proud Papa
Those of you that know Eric know how much he loves salsa and has since he was a kid. The man used to get it in his stocking for Christmas, that is how much he loves it. I buy him a big jar of it every week and he usually eats it all. Well you can imagine how proud he was when Noah asked to dip his chip in Daddy's "ketchup". Now if you know Eric, you also know how freaking hot his salsa is, so don't worry, Noah didn't get any of Daddy's "ketchup" he got some of Mommy's much milder version. He dipped just a teeny tiny bit in and ate it. When I asked him if he liked it, he said it was "de-yicious" (delicious). I know Eric's heart just swelled with pride.
2 months already
Thursday we had Avery's 2 month checkup with Dr. Gulino. She still has a little cough from her cold over Christmas, but other than that she is a picture of health. She is in the 75th percentile for her height, weight, and head size. She is 11 lb 12 oz, which is a pound more than she was last month, but a pound less than Noah was at 2 months. She is 23 1/4 inches long and her head is 15 1/2 inches around. We think she is just beautiful and she is getting more fun all the time. She is a big smiler and coo's all the time. She is still eating about 5 oz every 4 hours, but really doesn't get concerned about eating until you change her diaper, and then it is like she is reminded that she should be hungry and get mad. She had to get two shots which she didn't like, but she handled it better than last time, and she only cried for about 5 minutes rather than the entire way home.
She is sleeping from about 8 pm until 6 am and we just have to get up and put her noonie in just like we did for Noah. When we lay her down for the night she goes right to sleep and hardly cries. In fact, I remember Noah crying for about 2 hours once we stopped rocking him to sleep. But we started putting Avery down just drowsy last week and she has been fine every night. As long as we put that noonie back in when necessary she is good.
We all love our little girl, and Noah is smitten. He is always making sure she is happy. When she cries he is the first one there to put her noonie in which he knows makes her happier. He loves to be on the ground with her when she is lying, and when I ask him if he wants to play with Avery on the blanket he will stop what he is doing to lie by her. I am having a hard time getting him to not be so close to her though. He likes to be right up in her face, which I think freaks her out a little bit. He won't ever talk to her, but he just likes to be really really close to her. We are working on giving her a quick kiss then backing up and just talking to her but I don't think he really knows what to say. He will repeat what I tell him to say, but other than that just stares at her blankly. And of course, when she is playing with a toy, that is the only toy in the world he is interested in. Other than that he is very patient with her and the attention she requires. He is good about waiting to do something while she is eating, or while she is getting her diaper changed. He has adjusted quite well which is a huge relief to me and Eric.
My favorite thing in the whole world is when he tells her he loves her. He also doesn't ever call her Avery, but calls her Avery Ann every single time he says her name. It makes me so happy to see how much he loves her, and I hope they are close all the time.

Waiting on her shots.

Just dancin, waiting on Dr. Gulino to come in.

Christmas at Baba and PoPaw's
Our last Christmas stop was Baba and PoPaw's house. After we played for a while on Christmas morning we got dressed and headed to their house to finish opening the kids presents and eat dinner.
Since the camara is still broken at this point, we had to use the video camara again take pictures, that is why the pictures are fuzzy and dark.

Baby girl in the wrapping paper. We have the same picture of Noah from 2 years ago.

Merry Christmas!!!
